Drone Pilot – Aerial Photography & Videography in the UK
With a passion for both technology and photography, becoming an experienced drone pilot was a natural step for me. Drones allow you to capture perspectives that simply aren’t possible from the ground — sweeping landscapes, architectural details, and cinematic movement that make a location come alive.
Over the years, I’ve filmed a variety of subject matter, from industrial sites to remote countryside retreats. Below are two examples that show how versatile aerial filming can be.
Burley Hill Quarry – North Wales
The first example is Burley Hill Quarry, located in North Wales not far from Loggerheads. Once an active limestone quarry, it was decommissioned by Tarmac and is now a striking location for aerial photography. While the company wasn’t able to share much about its history, the site itself tells a story — it’s vast, rugged, and littered with 200-million-year-old fossils. Capturing it from the air really gives a sense of its scale and geological significance.
Kingbarth – Cornwall
The second example is a property shoot for Kingbarth, a secluded holiday rental managed by Helpful Holidays. Situated in rural Cornwall, this stand-alone property is surrounded by nothing but countryside for miles. To showcase it, I used the DJI Inspire’s Point of Interest function to create a smooth, continuous flight path around the house. The result is a professional, flowing aerial tour that highlights both the property and its peaceful setting.
Bringing Locations to Life from the Air
Whether it’s an industrial site, a property for sale or rent, or a tourism destination, drone videography can make a huge difference in how a place is presented. From dramatic wide shots to intricate movement, drones help capture both the scale and atmosphere of a location.
If you’re looking for a drone pilot in the UK who combines technical skill with a photographer’s eye, I can help bring your project to life with stunning aerial imagery.
