I’m a massive fan of cars and bikes, and of course I like taking photos. So here’s a few of my favourite pictures I’ve taken over the years – a good selection from all over the place!
Taken next to the three graces as the world heritage site – Liverpool Pierhead. End of a summers day just as golden hour approaching and got it glinting off the alloys.
Taken underground at the Capital Carpark. There’s lots of moody concrete here in this no frills parking. Great for some shots of cars.
You don’t see many of these. Taken at Oulton Park.
My old company car. Loved the A3. Four doors and a massive boot. Very practical for holidays and throwing the mountain bike in the back, and yet nice and easy to park!
Taken during the Gold Cup event at Oulton Park there was a selection of Rally Cars sliding about the rally section of the venue. Reminds me of Gene Hunt in Ashes to Ashes whenever I see one of these. Classic car!
Stephen Young losing it on the gravel pit at Outlon Park. It’s a great place to get these types of shots, but you’ve got to be ready for them.
Dr. Ferdinand Porsche really did do a great job on the 911. Timeless shape. I love this 1965 Porsche 911 hammering it around Oulton Park. Seriously no gadgets and gizmos to keep the car on the tarmac. Just skill and willpower.
Tbey don’t make them like this anymore. The guy opened the back up and started this beast while we were there. It was one of the most pleasing sounds I’ve ever heard. You could almost see the £10 notes flying out the back.
To get this shout I had to put the SLR on a tripod in the back of the car, with the right settings and on multiple shoot. This took a couple of hours – still didn’t quite dampen the camera, but 1. The roads are shocking and 2. The Audi’s suspension is hard / tyres very thin!
