The light does look the part and is very bright. This room is only 2.5m x 2.5m and is being used as an office – it gives an ethereal effect on MS Teams calls. The light will easily illuminate a 5m x 8m room I believe and still look good.

You can’t change the LEDs in the light or dim it. Though you will get people mentioning how cool it is. The Menton Integrated LED Swirl White Semi-Flush Ceiling Fitting is also a fraction of the price of a similar one I was going to buy in John Lewis.

The terminal box of the Dunelm Menton Integrated LED Swirl White Semi-Flush Ceiling Fitting is hard to get into and you can see where it (the lid) snapped off. It’s also a bit too small to put the wires in which is a right pain – especially given installation is a two-man job. I did it in the end but it took three goes and I’d lost any daylight by then and had to use a headtorch.
