Decided to go for the Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C EXO TR 26″ Folding Tyre. The tyre comes with a handy matrix on the back explaining what it’s for – now this may come as a shock, but I thought the DHR meant it was “Down Hill Rear” and the DHF meant “Down Hill Front” – but you can run either or a mix of these bad boys.

This is a very robust tyre – it looks the part too. Super knobbly. Though if you’re a school kid one of these is going to set you back 50 quid. Which is pretty much the price of a cheap car tyre.

When I’ve managed to get it on the bike I’ll see what the Maxxis Minion DHR II 3C EXO TR Folding Tyre is like and update here.
