Why Is Fintech Important?

In particular, fintech is widely used to describe new tech that seeks to improve and automate the delivery and use of financial services. Fintech is a portmanteau of financial technology. It has become a buzzword for the financial industry, especially in relation to online services that offer an alternative to traditional banks or other service providers.

The idea behind fintech is simple: why do things manually when computers can do it for you? For example, many fintech startups have emerged that help you manage your money by automatically calculating how much you will save each month if you switch from one credit card or loan provider to another. This saves time on researching different offers and comparing them before making a decision yourself!
